LIGHT AND SCALE
This week I made an iteration of my previous weeks model in a new scale. I chose to to use 1:50 scale instead of the 1:20. It made my model extremely small and so I chose to use the thin white cardboard instead of the corrugated thicker cardboard, for ease of malleability.
Photography:
After reading the "how to photograph your model" posted on moodle, I chose to photograph this model on a brown backdrop, in order to create maximum contrast and make the model pop against the background.
Light variations:
I also played with the patterns of light coming through the windows by changing the shape of the windows. Geometric patterns of squares and triangles create interesting patterns on the bedroom floor.
Scale:
In order to address the issue of scale, I created an 'average' sized person (170cm tall) and scaled them down to the same scale of 1:50.
