FUSION 360: TRANSITION SPACE
This week we used Fusion 360 to create a transition space that could ultimately be laser cut and later constructed into a 3D model.
We started by sketching and extruding some rectangles with tabs that would slot into each other in a jigsaw-like way.
Once the entire model was done, we deconstructed it by placing each individual component on a flat plane so that we could import it into the laser cutting file on Illustrator.
We first transformed it into a 'drawing' and then exported this to later use in Illustrator.
Once the above file was imported into the illustrator laser cutting template, we made sure the colours would suit what we needed them to do (i.e. red to cut, green to indicate edge of outline of material).
